Okay, I am SO SIIIICK of all the threads about 'omfg teh wurldz gunna end!' or 'lol hey r u a murderer?" or even 'death! cuz lulz u gunna diez lol!' not in those exact words of course, but still...

So what is happy for you? What was one thing today, or yesterday, or just whenever, that made you happy? Because life is good! And happy things are good!

Here's mine:

?I mean you could've been born a single cell organism on the planet Zortex. In fact, given the odds, it's probably more likely, but you weren't. You we're born a human being. And not just any human being in the history of human beings, but a human being that gets to be alive today. That gets to listen to all kinds of music, that gets to eat food from every culture, that gets to download porn off the internet. So really, you have everything to live for.?

What made me happy was killing that hobo just too seconds ago... oh, sorry.

No, seriously, What made me happy was that half an hour of peace I had where my parents weren't nagging me and my sister wasn't being a *****.

My friend told me a pretty uplifting story last night, actually...

There was a woman who absolutely hated being on welfare, couldn't stand it at all. She did everything she could to finally land a job and get off of it so she could support herself. Not even a month after she had managed to do so, she was laid right back off. So now she had practically no money left.
She walked into the corner store with $5 in her hand. Her last $5 until she could get back onto welfare. She simply stared at it, wondering to herself how in the world she was going to use that negligible amount of money to feed and take care of herself and her children for the next month. The store clerk and manager saw the look and her face and asked if something was wrong. The poor woman immediately broke into tears and fell to the floor, her spirits completely broken. She explained everything that had happened to her to the manager.
The manager looked back and her said, "I know you. You've been a loyal customer at my store for years now. Your children have never robbed me, never vandalized my store... Take what you need. Whatever you require to live for the next month, it's yours, free of charge."

That made me feel really good inside.

Well, I'm happy because I drank three cans of Vimto in three hours. I'm hoping the inevitable crash from the sugar high will be so severa that I'll actually be able to sleep tonight, instead of lying awake for hours until 5 in the morning.

Also, I got a free meal today because I worked the BBQ for a charity event. And three cans of free Vimto.

You should look at the book 14,000 Things to be Happy About by Barbara Ann Kipfer.
Makes me feel good inside.

My Delirium by Ladyhawke, never heard of it before, but i actually liked it amazingly. my sister was watching some music programme (TMF or some shit) and it was on directly after If I Was a Boy by Beyonce so my spirits were low, it made me feel better.

if you listen to it just bear in mind that i like 80's synth music (the cure, roxy music and such), so it may not be to your tastes

Today I'm happy because I bought Alestorm's album Black Sails at Midnight a few hours ago.

"Keelhaul that filthy landlubber, send him to the depths below! Make that bastard walk the plank with a bottle of rum and a yo ho ho!"

That doesn't seem very happy but you'd be amazed.

I think so I am. I can think so I exist. I can't think anybody else, could it be that they don't exist.
That you and everyone else are just illusions to please and annoy me, the world revolves around me.

That makes me feel like I have something to live for.
Then again, I'm talking to things that don't exist...

I cheer myself up by remembering that suicide is always an option.

On a related note, I also cheer myself up by reminding myself that by not having killed myself yet, I have succeeded where many others have failed.
