I'm sure all of us have games we play (GTA for example) no matter how many times you play through it, you'll see something or something will happen that you didn't expect. And in some games, events just go completly backwards.

My favourite game that does this would have to be Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday. Everysingle time I start that game the AI never follows history and things just get interesting from there. (such as Poland declaring war on Germany...and winning!)

how bout yours?

I don't tend to find that myself, but that's probably because I tend to play fairly linear games.

I do remember, however, finding out that when I collected all the Oysters in GTA San Andreas before I was supposed to (pretty much as soon as you're let free to explore, I went mad and started grabbing them all - even going so far as to swim across to the other islands to find the last few. I had great fun evading the law, but not so much grabbing the last one under the police harbour in San Fierro!) and realising that every time I went on a date with women they always asked me if I wanted some coffee now, even if I was just starting the relationship. That was a fun (and useful) find.

I don't think I've played any games that are completely different every time, but Left 4 Dead is apparantly going to be like that.

Oblivion. I created multiple characters with different skill focusses. One was a real fighter, another was a mage and the third one a real thief/assassin/sneaky person. Other than the obvious different guilds, I also approached situations in a different way. As a thief I found all sorts of cool items in people's houses, which I never found as a warrior for example.
