Something useful doing more harm then good

So I ordered a new video card and I get to play the waiting game all over again. Lucky for me the company was oh so kind to send me a tracking number for the package. On one hand tracking numbers are great. You get to see when you package is going to arrive, and I can schedule time to be at home.

It also happen to turn me into a wreck of obsessive compulsively checking to see where it is now. Yay! It's in Arizona now. Oh it's reached a distribution center in St Lious. And so on.

So let's hear it. What's something you have found that by all rights should be useful and make your life better, but fails to do so?

Increased gas prices. They were supposed to help, but I haven't seen how.

good thing i live in Minnesota gas is just under three dollars but yah you beat us to it
