Finally got my first Gaming PC built however I feel like the machines graphics card is under powered I was originally I was going to get a AMD 6870 however I had to get a weaker one because my budget was £600 and I feel like my machine is not up to standards. Is there any good graphics card that are just as effective or should I save up and get the card I was going to get (AMD 6870) my budget for the card would be around £100 maybe £150 at highest. Here is my build if it helps.
ADFX 4300
GX lite 500w power supply
Antec 320 case
8GB RAM DDR3
Asus motherboard pro
Terabyte hard drive

The 6870 is outdated, consider a 7850 which is a little bit better and cheaper. You forgot to mention what graphics card you got, if it's decent maybe it's not worth upgrading at this moment.

Yeah, you will definitely see a massive performance gain with the 7850.

A 7850 is a smidge faster and a lot cheaper. While a 6870 is still plenty powerful, I use one, it would be a little silly to snag one.

Bottle necked? does this mean it may not work and I may have to get a new CPU?
Nope, it means that its performance is not going to be utilized fully because of your CPU.

Can you recommend a CPU that will fully utilize the 7870?

The FX-8530, but there is really no point in upgrading just now. With your current setup and a 7850 you are still going to play all modern games at the highest quality settings with good fps.
