Basically what it says in the title: your favorite song covers, whether you like them as much as the original:
Or you just prefer them to the original:
This also includes fan covers, as seen below:
So, what song covers do you like?

Weezer is about the last band on earth I would have expected to do a cover of Africa, let alone do it well.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
The first one that comes to mind is a cover of a song from the SNES Shadowrun game.

After that you have a cover done by Bad Wolf's of Zombies by the Cranberry's.

Oh, and I can't forget about the 1940s swing cover of Killing Me Softly.

Ugh, and I have to give the Hamilton Polka its time in the spotlight.

This totally counts as a cover, right?

I believe so, but then again, I can't say no to a Hamilton and/or Weird Al song.

By the way, here's another song cover I love:

Punk rock makes everything better.

China Drum's cover of Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights knocks the original into a cocked hat.
The H?sker D? version of Eight Miles High by The Byrds was colourfully described my dad as "furniture imperilling"
Best punk band ever Leatherface produced several excellent covers, but their cover of Talkin' 'bout a Revolution by Tracy Chapman is their best.

Got to go with a classic 'Wait that was a cover?' songs, Nirvana's cover of 'The Man who Sold the World'.

I also really love Cake's cover of 'I Will Survive'

And for fun, here is The Killers cover of Shadowplay

Outside of the absolute greatest cover of all-time, Jimi's 'All Along the Watchtower', this is the 2nd best cover...

I like Alien Ant Farm's cover of Smooth Criminal more than the original Micheal Jackson version
And any cover that Johnny Cash did. Hurt, Desperado and Personal Jesus in paticular. In my eyes, that man could have made even a Justin Bieber or Backstreet Buys/NSYNC song amazingly soulful and moving.

While not my favourite cover ever (there are loads I love), this is a recent one that I particularly like for its story. One of my fav bands, Counting Crows, tweeted about this cover of their song "American Girls", made by this girl who likes the Crows. I just love stuff like this where everyone is just so damned cool. She sings a song by a band she admires and they promote an up and coming talent.
It's very different, turning a rock and roll song into almost a ballad, almost acapella (but for the piano). Her voice is class tho.

Connor Maynard's covers of most things, but particularly Alan Walkers faded and usher's "crash"

He makes me feel emotional ok. It's not a phase I swer.

Not a massive fan but Marilyn Manson's covers are usually quite good.
