So, there's always songs I am wondering what the title and artist are. Thought I'd start a thread where we can get answers. Doing this for songs as everyone here seems not only musically inclined, but musically diverse.

First question: Looking for A&T of a song with the chorus of "oh it takes me back, the letters that she wrote" or something like that. Singer sounds possibly Irish or Scottish. Believe I was watching the O.C. when I heard it, season 1 or 2 if that helps. It sounds kind of like the Dropkick Murphys (bunch of guys in a bar-song-like chorus, light electric guitar, happy beat).

Can you help? I will try the suggestions on Rhapsody to see if it matches up.

Thanks!

OK, since you started this thread, I guess I'll throw my own question in here (sorry, haven't a clue what song you are referring to).

Mine's a bit different. I know the group, I have checked their discography and have virtually all their songs, but I had a tape from a friend that had this one song that for the life of me I cannot find.

The group is Einsturzende Neubauten. The song says something like "Klescht" several times. That's all the information I can provide short of making a recording of myself singing the tune.

Anyone? Anyone?

The only einsturzende neubauten song i actually know is called Piconose, or something like that, it consists of one phrase, repeated over and over again. it translates to "Just as a reminder, marzipan, bitter almonds and school glue".

Okay, the song title is:

Over the Hills and Far Away

Prolly the original by Gary Moore version (doubt it was Nightwish)
