Song mash-ups.

I really hate the word 'mash-up'. Any suggestions for a less obnoxious name for them?

Anyway: when somebody loves a song, and that somebody also loves another song, they sometimes make the songs have sex. This results in a new song, which combines their characteristics, as dictated by genetics.

Yeah, it's like saying you should encourage heavy drug use because every so often you get a rock star, ignoring the thousands of dead junkies.
