Is there a song out there that you would point to and say "this is a perfect encapsulation of what I believe in"? Perhaps a song that's really inspirational to you for that reason?

Note that it doesn't have to be something religious---mine isn't (and I briefly considered "You're the Best Around" from The Karate Kid, but the Alan Parsons Project better reflects my true core)

I know the truth
But I can't say
And I have to turn my head
And look the other way

I'm not afraid
And I won't lie
As long as I see no wrong
I won't need to testify

I see the world
And I'm looking from a high place
Way above it all
Standing on higher ground

I breathe the air
While they're running in a rat race
Way above it all
Standing on higher ground

I feel the blow
But I don't speak
And I have to close my eyes
Pretending I'm asleep

Well I see the tears
But I don't cry
As long as I do no wrong
I don't need an alibi

I see the world
And I'm looking from a high place
Way above it all
Standing on higher ground

I breathe the air
While they're running in a rat race
Way above it all
Standing on higher ground

I think this song is pretty much the very summary of Neutral Good. Live true to your own morality and honesty and virtue and the rest will take care of itself.

I'd say "I don't care" by Apocolyptica can describe parts of me rather well.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot the good life by three days grace and cigaro by system of a down. If you've heard cigaro you'll know why it's funny.

Joke answer: "<url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JZ9djZa180>Bodies" by Drowning Pool.

Serious answer: ...I don't think I've found one. Maybe "<url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7TcW7OkQqg>Once in a Lifetime" by Dragonforce? Or possibly "Hero Nation" by Freedom Call, though it seems more religious than I am...

I interpret it to be more universalist than nationalistic, of course.

hmmm, not really anything. I'll go with one I like though

"Odoru Dame Ningen"

The chorus is "Dame, dame, dame, dame ningen! (dame!) Ningen, ningen!"

That translates to " Failure, failure, failure, failure of a human! (Failure) of a Human, human!"

It was used in an anime for a montage of a guy power leveling in an MMO. It's damned catchy ><

Basicly keeps me going even when things get rough, and the second one gives me hope

Cause I took the elevator to the top.
The next thing I know,
There I was standing on the edge.
And all the flashing lights and futile cries,
Their left with me now.
Just close my eyes and take that final step.

"Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve or
"Get Gone" by Fiona Apple.

Sadly, I know a million people would tag "Bittersweet Symphony" before I get this out.

ZZ's Song by Joe Satriani, why? (it has no lyrics)

Because I'm a very calm, quiet and peaceful person by nature.

Cheer Up by Reel Big Fish: "Life sucks. I don't wonder why. That's tough. I just keep on tryin', so I won't be the one not havin' any fun"
