Protip:
There will always be people who don't get some of the songs, and they will always ***** about it, particularly accusing you of inserting stuff that they couldn't possibly know because it's before their time (never mind that oldies stations are easy to tune into etc). It's your perogative as quizmaster to make the thing HARD. Chuck in whatever you like.
Besides, Teen Spirit? For 12-17 year olds? It doesn't get played hardly at all any more. I bet at least half of them wouldn't be able to name it, ubiquitous as it was in the early 90s. Ditto quite a lot of the others
I'm the team expert on music rounds if I'm taking part in a pub quiz or whatever, but a 50% hit rate on those things is still considered exceptionally good going. There's all kinds of esoteric stuff, usually tailored towards the quizmaster's mates racking up a nice score in the corner.
