Despite being horribly out of place, I have to give Dethklok credit for keeping me awake while studying for finals last semester. Laser Cannon Deth Sentence is very motivational when studying late at night.

Hell, if we all just listened to more Dethklok I suppose we'd be too busy headbanging to be sad at times, and I approve of this.

The first time I heard The Dark Side of the Moon (the whole album), I just sat down and admitted to myself, "I will never be .1% as good as this band". I gave up on all musical instruments, and didn't so much as touch a piano for a few years.

Obviously, there are other factors, but I still get depressed sometimes realizing how Pink Floyd shames my musical talent completely.

November Rain by Guns n' Roses. I listened to that song a lot just before my ex broke up with me. It made me sad just by listening to it like a year afterwards.
