Bah, "inner child". People seem to act as if once they turn 18, they're a totally different person. Or rather, that back when they turned 18, their "child" burrowed deep in their consciousness. Thus the term "inner child".
But a human often doesn't live to be more than a couple thousand weeks old. And a person goes from quite a young minor to an adult in just a few hundred weeks. A week of a human being's life is a humongous chunk of it. And it's not that our "inner child" exists somewhere back in our consciousness, it's just that we tend to have very fond memories of a time without responsibilities or cruel realities of us constantly pushed on our minds. Understandably, many of us, as well, don't chance our tastes in things much from childhood to adulthood.
Sorry, didn't mean to do that, I'm just not super fond of the term "inner child".
