Alright, this thread is mostly on music that really leaves an impact with you, or at least changes your mood in some way. I don't care if it makes you sad, happy, or anything else, but specify what the song is, what it exactly does to you, and possibly a reason why it does, or why you think, it does it to you.

Shadows and Regrets by Yellowcard.

This song always makes me feel a bit down, but in a good way. I loved Yellowcard when I was younger, so this song really brings back some of the good memories I have from then. The song still holds true to me though because when I listen to the lyrics, I can feel it now that it perfectly encapsulates the stuff I feel when I think about when I'm finally going to leave my town.

This one always lightens my spirits, and makes me feel much better. The first time I heard this song was at around 1 in the morning (I know, ironic) when I was flipping through TV channels. I came across a music station and this song started. I don't know what it was, but it made me stop and close my eyes and just to get absorbed by it. It always makes me feel happy and makes me think about all the stuff I have yet to experience and how I want to travel.

Alright, let it be known. I hate Hedley. I have a couple of thier other songs on my iPod, and I wound up removing them because they sucked. This song however, THIS song I absolutely love. I don't know what it is about it, but this song always helps me feel much better about myself. This song wound up playing right after 12:59 on the station and made me feel really happy. It's like 12:59 makes me think about my dreams and what I want to do, but this song makes me then want to get up and go out to do them.

Anyways, that's enough of my ranting, let's hear from you. I'm sure some of you have songs like this. Whether they make you sad, happy, or calm I don't care. Post 'em so we can hear 'em.

I have no idea how I feel about Streamline. On one hand, it's an invigorating and incredibly catchy piece, but the lyrics offer a sort of contrasting, mellow vibe.

Either way, great song.

I always find myself listening to this on depressing days. It's pretty self explanatory as to why.

I almost cry every time I hear Strawberry Swing, from Coldplay. It reminds me about stuff with a girl.

How do I make the video show up like the first poster?

Probably one of the most moving concerts I've ever been too. And they did two encores. And they're getting old. I don't why, but that just made it more significant for some reason. I guess it's because on the outside they look like worn out musicians that lack that youthful edge they once had, but then they started playing... You could see that spirit come back, especially when they played their older songs.

This song was the first time I fell in love with this band, during a time when my tastes were changing and evolving vastly... again :D. It seems that every piece of music that I love brings back memories from the time I first discovered them, and even if fairly recent, it always feels nostalgic. Every moment of my life is recorded as some emotionally significant memory in the form of music I love.

Umm...the Strokes first album is a life changer. MGMT - Oracular Spectacular album is also a life changer. The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium will turn your life upside down and re-arrange your face for you. It's pretty sweet.

I prefer songs that are part of an album that I can listen to the whole way through. I did away with singles many years ago.
I loved the Strokes first album. I focus mostly on the album as well, although there are a few times where I'll download an album just to get one song (I got 300 gigs of space to fill on this computer :D). Although there is always a few or just one song that stands out on an album for me, that one song I can listen to when I want to revisit an album. It's a rare but beautiful things where an album is so great that I can't name a single bad track, and usually have to listen to the whole thing. I don't remember the songs, I remember the album. Radiohead's "In Rainbows" and cLOUDDEAD's "Ten" comes to mind.

I'll check out the other two albums you mentioned.

Meaning of Birth from Tales of the Abyss is about 50% of the reason it's one of my favorite games ever. That totally counts, since it made me love a game.

More proof. Honestly, whenever I'm in a bad mood, I listen to these, or

and I'm happy again. It's weird. That, and they're awesome.

I don't know why, it just puts me in a good mood. I felt sick one day, and this came on. Three minutes and twenty-three seconds later, I forgot I hadn't been feeling well.
The intro makes me feel badass just by listening to it. Really gets me hyped up. The rest of it's pretty sweet, too.

Whenever I'm depressed, I sometimes listen to this song. It's not a very happy song, but I don't know, it just makes me feel better somehow.

This one can cheer me up whenever I'm feeling really unmotivated and bored.

This one calms me down.
