In my opinion, The Who's second album, A Quick One, was the best they ever released (but only a nose ahead of their third album, The Who Sell Out). Every song on it is quirky and upbeat, nothing like the more serious stuff that they're most known for. One particular track on the album, Cobwebs and Strange, is one of the rare songs that never fails to put me in a good mood.

there's also the melodic trance genre, which is also rather good in my opinion.
