Hey all. Everyone has songs that make them feel that those songs were made just for them. Not necessarily songs that they like, or even songs that they understand, but songs that speak to them without actually saying anything.

To me, 'The impression that I get' by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and 'Well Adjusted' by MXPX.

How about you, Escapees?

Really, if you're taking your definition of your very self from someone else's lyrics (not descriptions of you as an individual, the lyrics to a song which are changed to fit with music, meter, etc) seems a bit weak. At least to me. Whatever makes you happy.

I wouldn't say taking my very definition of myself from music, I'm talking about the inverse. Music that you see your own self in, not changing yourself to suit lyrics.

I don't think this was made for me, but I do run everyday to this song in my Ipod.

So yeah, it kind of defines me!.

Mine is Evanescence- Whisper. It's not my favourite song, but is somewhere in top 10.

I dont have a particular song, though the eclecticness of my library suits me quite well.

Hurt by Johnny Cash (I know NiN wrote it, but the Johnny Cash one is the one I feel defines me.)

'I hurt myself today, to see if I still feel/
I focus on the pain, the only thing that's real.'

I know it sounds overdramatic and emo, but these words resonate for me in ways that are more than simply the actual words.

The Logical Song by Supertramp. In the times where I feel jaded and screwed over by the education system.

As I always say in these threads, words aren't enough. So I'll post this instead.

Thats an awesome song... The riff at the start was enough to catch me. If words fail you, that's the best thing to show us :D

"Behind Blue Eyes" The Who version now not Limp Biskit.

Also for some reason the song "Dixie" gets me going every time I hear it.

"Oh I wish I were an Oscar Meyer wiener, that I'd truly like to be. For if I were an Oscar Meyer wiener, everyone would be in love with me!"
