Music is awesome. And it sucks. It depends on your taste for it, really. But sometimes, when we scout the internet after singles from our favorite bands, we find a not-so-known song from one of their album that kicks so much ass that firefox crashes (Or, of you are using Explorer or Safari, makes your computer explode)

I've found several over my days, and I'd like to share some with you. Then, I want you to share some with me. "Quid pro quo" as they say.

First off, "I hope, I think, I know" by the band Oasis, from the album "Be here now".

I love this song sooo much. I sing with the lyrics when I listen to it, and the song gives me a satisfying and free feeling when I listen to it. In my opinion, this should have been an opinion. Although apparently, it was made thanks to cocaine. Drugs are good in some ways it seems.

Secondly, every song from the Beatles that isn't a single

I love all of them, what can I say? The album "1" should have had a lot more songs. Preferably the whole library.

Quid pro quo Clarice... I mean, members of the Escapist.

2. The Beatles are incredibly overrated and only have one long album's (~15 tracks) worth of good+ songs. The rest of their music is plinky plonky boring samey bullshit and the reason they are so revered is much less musical than economic and cultural (the latter in the sense that they were the first band to really embrace hype and heralded the pop formula that gave us all this dross and wasn't 'improved' upon until Simon Cowell and reality TV came along).
I so badly want to disagree with you, but I can't do it. Your points coincide directly with mine. The entirety of my family loves the Beatles. I am the only one of the entire family, yes, the entire family, who doesn't know the words to any of their songs.

Hubilub, you konw I have respect for your ninja skills, but I have to poop on your thread a bit here.
1. No songs should be singles. Paying £4 for 1 song and a couple of B-sides/whatever else is a moronic way to purchase music that was invented and is perpetuated by the greed of a parasitic industry intervening between musician and audience to suck money out.

Kisses.
1. By singles I mean of course songs that get into the mainstream cycle. I too agree that music is too expensive and all that shit, but singles get a lot of cover from the media, i.e. MTV, and so, this thread is for pointing out songs that should be made popular instead of being "fillers" for a bands cd.
2. I actually like basically every song I've heard from the Beatles. The one day I put my Iphone on random and it picks a Beatles song I don't like, I'll admit it, but so far I love them. Although I can see how you think that they are overrated, most bands popularity can seem unjustified.

I find you an eminently reasonable and measured user of the internets. Disagreed with me, and yet failed to cry or get angry about it. This is a strange experience indeed.

It sometimes feels like they are a religion to some people, and not being a follower is treated in the same way as being an atheist in the USA or not a member of the Brotherhood of Mac...
Whenever I flame someone I just feel ashamed of myself. So I stopped doing that. Sometime in the future I may snap and flame someone, but until then I'm trying to keep myself in line.

PFFT Whatever noob fag. No, I'm joking. You keep that fuse nice and damp, let's hope plenty of others can follow your example.
One day, in a perfect world, people will be able to have conversations, and even debates on the internet without trolls or flamers disturbing them.

I live to see that day...

I don't tend to buy singles, but one advantage they do hold over songs that aren't made into singles, is the art of the music video, and by that coin, I would have *loved* for My Violent Heart by Nine Inch Nails to be a single.

Also, someone educate me, was With A Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles a single? If not, that should have been.

Tonight We Dance by Rise Against

Was actually a bonus track on the European version of Sufferer and the Witness, but I reckon it should have made it as a single.

P.S. I suck at embedding

Tales from the forest of Gnomes by Wolfmother. My favorite song of their's by far. The guitar rift in it is amazing.
