That review is from a world-record holder for Sonic 2, so it's nothing to scoff at.

That's the only one I've seen, because it's from one of the three gaming sites that I ever use (the others being here and Dtoid). If you find others, positive or negative, feel free to post them.

And here are some jokes at Sonic fanboys' expense, from back in March, from the lovely Jim Sterling.

The shortness bothers me, I'll have to see exactly how much Microsoft want to charge for this in terms of points before I decide whether to get it or not.

To be fair, the review did say that it would be fun to play again.

Perhaps, but if they're charging 800/1200 Microsoft points I'm gonna want a more worthwhile experience.

Looks pretty great, but the fact that it's episodic is a real turnoff. As much as I'd like to get my hands on it, I'm probably going to end up waiting for the inevitable compilation disc release a year or two down the line so I can experience the full game all at once.

You know, I really find Sterlings stuff funnier and just all around better than Yahtzees. I think it's because Sterling actually likes games, whereas Yahtzee seems to do it because making fun of bad (and good) games is the hipster thing to do now. They both are pretty much the same when it comes to being caustic to games, but there's only so many times you can make the same comparison to the same three games in every video. I still like, Yahtzee, don't get me wrong, it's just that sometimes he feels a bit formulaic in his bits.

OT: I don't like anything about Sonic and secretly love that his games have been shit for so long, but at the same time I really hope this turns out as good as people are saying so the fans get what they've been wanting for decades, a great Sonic game.
