Sonic Generations looks... decent?

As bad as Sega seem to be in recent years I still can't help feeling excited at the prospect of a new Sonic game every time one is announced.
I'm normally sorely disappointed but with Sonic 4 maybe Sega are finally starting to learn their lesson.

I can't help but think the gameplay actually looks... not bad?

Obviously modern Sonics sections look a bit clunky and will probably control horribly, but classic Sonics levels look pretty and interesting

So what does everyone else think?

P.S Every time someone posts 'Sonic should die' or words to that effect, I die a little inside ;_; Also I'll shoot a bunny.

i'm sorry, i'm a sucker for sonic games (i love them, all the advance ones and the ds ones, and sonic adventure and adventure 2 battle, heroes and riders even tho people hate them)

and this one looks GREAT! can not wait.

I actually quite liked sonic adventure 1 and 2, so if the series were to go back to games like those, I might be interested again.

Sonic Heroes wasn't awful either. After that, not so much.

Call me when they make another Sonic Adventure. I loved SA and SA2, but I've never really liked the platform Sonic games, and needless to say the more recent attempts at creating 3D Sonic games haven't exactly been winners either.

So, when they decide to make another 3D Sonic game that isn't marred by the fact that they try to pander both to people who liked the 3D games and people who liked the 2D ones, then I'll get excited.

The 3d part looks nice, but seems its going to be incredibly linear because its going to be the exact same thing as the 2d. It would just be moving forward. It seems like they are trying to basically remake sonic 4 as a game that they can sell for 60 rather than 15 dollars.

I'm interested, but I'll just pick it up used when the price drops a lot. Bring back sonic adventure!
