Okay, I'm really not gonna get my hopes up. I think that Sonic will never be good again, and these games are just for the fans. All I saw was "2-D Adventure" and a blue ball bouncing off walls. And for those who say there isn't a way they can fuck up a 2-D Sonic? Think again. I'll probably buy it, but not on the Wii. I have learned my lesson.

well that wasnt worth the load time, but its pretty much impossible to make a sonic game as bad as some of his 3d ones without relying on erotic gay fanfics involving sonic and eggman for the story and game play
They just don't give up, do they? Even when each Sonic game gets progressively worse...

The last sonic game i played....the one with the chao garden. I realized the chao garden was more fun then the sonic game, after realizing a minigame was the high point i quickly smacked myself with a hammer then went to play a game that wasn't just a dead rotting corpse coated in shiny things. And to all of you who have hope for this game? Don't, just don't. If its bad (it will) you won't be dissapointed and if its good (it won't) then hooray for you and the 50 sonic fans who are left.

The speed thing, it's A LOT harder to do in 3D then 2D. You have to put a lot more time into making things look decent in 3D, and only to have it be passed by without a a care. Also, a lot of layering done in a 2D game can be done to make thing's look like their going faster, in a 3D plane, you lose the chance to do A LOT of those tricks.
P.S: I feel a little un-easy talking as if I know a lot about 3D work. Honestly I know mostly 2D stuff "im'a newgrounds rookie animator
", and messed around in Source SDK. So if anyone see's any flaws in my speculation TELL ME! I wanna know
HOWEVER, if you're smart you can use plenty of other techniques, which have been around for a while. Beyond that thing's look WAY COOLER when your flying past them all blurred anyway, so you'd think they'd use that to their advantage.
