Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man Join Forces

Oh deary me.

I...do not have high expectations for this one. I've tried reading some of the later Sonic comics and it is a convoluted, character-dense, bad art laden fucking disaster area. I'll admit the first two are probably just unfortunate consequences of a comic series that has gone on for absolutely bloody ages and also has the unspoken obligation to include characters introduced in the video games to boot. Whole thing's like a bad soap opera for furries.

I haven't read the Mega Man comics (didn't even know they had one, actually.) but since they're trying to tie this into canon, I can only expect this will add to the mess that already exists.

Still, it's perfectly fitting, throwing two series that have been slowly on the decline together to see what the proverbial blender shits out. /zing

I remember reading the old Sonic comics from Archie. I stopped not long after #50, but I have great memories of the series. Sonic #39 where Robotnic finally manages to roboticize Sonic which leads into the Mecha Sonic versus Mecha Knuckles special being one of my favorites. And of course Sonic #47-50 the Endgame Saga was excellent.

Anyway, an interesting idea, but I'm not sure I will bother picking any of it up.

This is going to FAIL and you know it. Capcom's effectively shelved Megaman, why should this succeed? Or is this one of those fate-tempting tries at resurrecting the blue demoman?

But Megaman IS shelved. Now he is only used for characters in Fighters and cross company games and games that have nothing to do with his story.

Plus that is X. Not classic Megaman.
Also. Megaman and Sonic? YES! That would be so awesome. And now I must post this.

Well, to be fair, Archie Mega Man has been selling at least as well as Archie Sonic and the fans all seem to be behind the idea if postings on BumbleKing, SonicRetrow & The Mega Man Network (to name a few fan sites) any indication. I think it stands a pretty good chance to working out in the end.
