Is it just me or does anyone think that if you took the core movement mechanics of prototype and applied them to a sonic game you could acually make a decent open world sonic game? Prototype just seems to have the mixture of speed and combat that I've always wanted in a Sonic game. Alex moves like I always imagined sonic should move (minus gliding) without being impossible to control. The other day I was playing with a fully upgraded Alex (minus powers due to the injection) agianst the military and began using cannon ball attacks against the gunships. I just couldn't help but think at the time that if I only had some speed boost pads and rings this would make a great sonic game. Does anyone else besides me think Sonic team should try and learn from prototype when they decide to make their next game?
