Ugh, PSP. I can't describe how much I hate PSP, and I can't describe how much it shocks me that Sony are admitting to a mistake, rather than blaming everyone else.
Well, I expected it. They've done alot of good work in the past. It's Microsoft who blames everybody else.

Just make another 10 patapon games and I'll be eternally happy.
I can't really get into the patapon games... They piss me off so much. But I can't wait for Assassin's Creed, LittleBigPlanet, and Dissidia: Final Fantasy in english to be released for the psp.

Really Sony? You don't say!

I've said it before: If the PSP had that sacred right stick and 2 extra shoulder buttons and was basically a portable home console that played EXACTLY like a PS3/PS2, it would have done better, since at least HALF the games on it are PS2/PS3 ports.

So, you basically want a portable dualshock controller? How on earth would it ever be comfortable in your pocket? Seriously, 4 shoulder buttons? My god, how could they fit that much!

Besides, OLD THREAD IS OOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDD!!! That, and a second nub is not nearly as essential as people make it out to be. The only real type of game that needs one is the FPS, and even then it can work out with 1 stick. After all, the DS goes along fine with none.

I think they would have figured something out. My point is that ported games don't play as well on the PSP. If they did, it would have done better. And I think a right stick is a factor in playing better.

But it is not neccessary, as shown by many other games (mainly games with fixed cameras or no camera control at all (Puzzle games, Strategy RPGs, Third Person Shooters can do fine with some good camera programing, racings games just need it to show the ass of the car, ect...)). A second nub is not nearly as much of a neccessity as people make it out to be, it's just fine with one.

1) This strikes me as no surprise considering the PSP has always suffered

2) No, I don't like "snack-side" whatevers of games, I like full games that I don't have to download extra shit for. This goes for digital distribution, as well. Not everyone can access the internet (my DS was offline for years) with their PSP, either.

Honestly, if they really wanted to make money they'd just scrap the PSP altogether and start putting those same games on the PS2 or something, where more people have access to them. And stop with all this downloadable crap because a lot of us don't give a shit about downloadable content or digital distribution. I prefer having a physical copy of my games, although I admit the UMD always turned me off, much like the Blu-Ray.

I would actually disagree with Sony, there are plenty of good games on the PS3 made by the third parties... it's just Under-Promoted.
The Honorable Delegate of Malistaire agrees, a commission must be se--err, sorry, my inner nerd rearing its bucked teeth and thick glasses.

But seriously, this guy's right, my store always has a rich display of Sony PSP titles and plenty are sold/traded every day. The PSP is a great system and I'm genuinely looking forward to the PSP Go (also looking for an extremely old never been updated 1000 model for other less reputable reasons) and I'm looking forward to some more decent releases and DVDs on it.

OT: That bastard Ben bought Dogma today! I WANTED DOGMA! NOBODY TRADES THAT IN ANYMORE!

Yeah, I realize that. I'm just saying it would have been nice.

Really? I never would have guessed with the fact I haven't bought a new game for it or played it in AGES!
I concur. The last time I got a game for my PSP was last Christmas, and even then it was an import of a Japanese-only release. Not even a really recent one, either.

If you mod it and put your PS1 catalog on a big stick (I use a pro duo that takes to 16 gig micro SD cards) it becomes one of the best handhelds ever made.

Something about carrying all my playstation games around with me that is so satisfying.

Yes, I agree, it would be nice but it's not neccesasry, I'm not trying to condemn you or anything. Still doesn't change the fact that I'm getting a PSP Go, and a couple dozen games for it or so. I'm just waiting for them to show us how to transfer UMD games to the Go because I'm sure there will be a way...hopefully.

I'm not going to get the PSP Go, only because I already have a PSP and a nice stack of UMD discs that I don't feel like paying for again. I'll just buy a big ol' memory stick instead.
