Strangely, this is exactly the kind of thing I wanted since my Tivo doesn't record in HD. If only it was being released here in the US...
To be fair, so do I.Greg Tito said:Apparently, Sony hates North American TV. You heard it hear first.
I assume torne is just the NTSC version of PlayTV, and PlayTV is already out in Australia. Check any major electronics retailer. (For once, the PAL markets get a product before the NTSC markets? Astonishing!)Aardvark said:I'd be excited, or at least mildly intrigued, if Australian TV wasn't as shit as our internet. Also, if the thing were coming out here.
Then I'll just stick with my original reason. Australian TV is shit.EmeraldGreen said:I assume torne is just the NTSC version of PlayTV, and PlayTV is already out in Australia. Check any major electronics retailer. (For once, the PAL markets get a product before the NTSC markets? Astonishing!)
You can watch TV on a TV, but you can record it? Can you send it to a PSP? Can you watch one channel and record another one?AceDiamond said:So Sony heard that people like TV so they put a TV in the PS3 so they could watch TV on their TV?

I also know quite a few people who use computer monitors for their games consoles.
Japan isn't PAL, it's NTSC. That's why we can use imported Japanese consoles like the Victor Saturn an Famicom. They also use a similar 110 volt electrical outlet so we can use the same plugs and power adapters.blackshark121 said:Coming in March to the Japan region only
FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Is Sony afraid of profit? And isn't the PS3 region free? Why on earth would the not sell it here in the US? Or even Europe, who uses PAL like Japan?
