Sony Cancels Spy MMO The Agency

I saw this coming, after the crap they shoveled out at E3 that looked nothing like a spy game they decide to not talk about it after that. Those of you sad it was gone don't be, just help make a spy vs. mercs Counter Strike mod and it will basically be the same thing, I do not exaggerate.

yeah great, an mmo that did not just copy&paste(Guttenberg) wow and added a unique mechanic/engine/scenario, sony just had to shut this didn't they?

Yeah, didnt see this coming at all. Really the premise was fairly weak to begin with. Im honestly surprised that it took this long.

I find it ironic because IGN put out an article about games in danger of never coming out. They listed this as comatose rather than flatlined. Day later? Canceled.

To be honest, I wasn't really all that interested in the game to begin with... but that doesn't mean I really wished anybody to be unemployed. It looked like it might have had potential when it started out, but by the time they really had anything to show... it didn't really look anything like what had been promised.

Hard times, though... I wonder where some of those folks will end up now if Sony can't find anywhere for them to go.

Bah, oh well... Planetside didn't get the axe... it's all good!

I forgot about it until now. Still, not surprized its being chopped thought. No new news or updates. Was just begging to be forgoten. Sorta like Half-life: Episode 3 except people won't forget it.

I am so excited for PS Next. Damn... splitting time between 3 MMOs will be expensive! Interested to see the new EQ, but ecstatic over Planetside.

Unfortunate. Doubly unfortunate that they're doing away with it to pursue more sequels- there's a strategy we've never seen before.

Still, I can't entirely fault it as business strategy- it's a hell of a time to be making an MMO.

God dammit; why is it always the games I am looking forward that get canned. First it was Time Splitters 4 that blasted into the nether and now the Agency has joined the many that followed.
