So, Ghost of Tsushima probably will be a swan song then. Last of Us 2 early in the year, Ghost out in May-August shortly before the new system comes out.

I jumped on the PS4 a bit too early, I'll probably wait a spell for some new games to come out.

This is not surprising in the slightest. I honestly doubt that I'll buy one at launch, I'll do what I usually do and wait a few years when it has games I want to play. Something like a Horizon: Zero Dawn sequel should be enough, but I doubt that is going to happen.

Standard procedure: let early adopters do their hamster thing, then jump a couple of years in once the system's ironed out, the price tag goes down and there's a good library for it. I have a hefty backlog for my PS4 anyway.

Sorry, it might be worth blocking me as am not so good at making sense lately, with a bad habit of bringing others down, and am not sure it's going to get any better from now on. Eh... It'll be probably like 2 years until there's a must-play game on it anyway. Just look at the start of this gen when every game released on both current and last gen systems. Also, the PS4 ain't close to the piece of shit the PS3/360 were so next-gen early releases shouldn't be massive downgrades on the PS4 like it was for PS3; the PS3 only had 512 MEGABYTEs of RAM.

All I can say is that this better be backwards compatible with PS4 games at least.

I remember hearing those rumors that not only will you be able to play your PS4 discs on it, but also PS1,2, and 3 discs as well.

I'm sure it'll be PS4 backward compatible since it's x86 architecture. PS3 is HIGHLY doubtful, I don't even think there's a solid emulator for PS3 yet, that architecture is hard has hell to emulate and PS5 ain't gonna be more powerful than today's PCs.

It ended conclusively but I recall there was like a post-credits scene setting up a potential sequel of course.

The story didn't, but the sales and critical reception did. Sony is not going to invest that much time and money in a new AAA IP that ends up being very successful and go 'You know what, once is enough'. Plus, the game lends itself well for expansion: New areas to visit, new tribes to interact with, new robot dinosaurs to fight.

Oh, I'd forgotten about that. I guess the scene was that bland.
I don't know if I'd call that a cliffhanger... to me that suggests a shocking revelation and/or a sudden plot complication. This is more of a sequel hook. Sort of just stamped there before delivery for good luck.

Well, maybe besides the next God of War, and another Horizon: Zero Dawn if it?s going to have some significantly new ideas. Like how about developing or converting your own fleet of dinobots that can do all that pesky harvesting and crafting for you, and secure new territory by scanning and fighting off corrupted enemy groups and bandit camps? I?d also love being able to ride a Thunderjaw please.
