Wow, what a line of bull. They are just saying things. I love speculation like this. It's just not realistic. Yes, they will most likely get more sales by cutting the price, but there is no way they could even come close to a number by anything other than pure chance.
I was thinking the same thing.
Trends, yes. But actual numbers?

What sorcery is that?

They will choose to just sit it out. And they will have another PSP on their hands. In other words, something that won't sell really well till the next handheld is out. It's also this same loss aversion that makes the losing side fight harder the closer they come to losing.
Ayup. Same cycle as before. They would need some killer apps to move Vitas, but AAA companies do NOT put the same effort into handhelds as they do for their immobile brethren. Why? Lower confidence in the system. Catch-22.

So instead of new killer apps, developers mostly ported PS2 games for the PSP.
Or did spinoffs...either one sucked.
(who wants to play PS2 games with a crippled 3D camera? Well besides the crazies who endured through Monster Hunter; a game that crippled my left index finger for two weeks after I stopped playing)

Sony fixed the hardware controls and interface completely, but now, can they overcome the software problem in time to pick up steam? The 3DS endured a grueling start (I'm still not very happy with mine), and the Vita is doing WORSE.
