To all those saying "tactile feedback!" and stuff, it wouldn't be able to be a universal control scheme if it was set to a specific physical control scheme. While a touch screen isn't the best of all solutions, if this one controller is supposed to be for all three consoles and such then I wouldn't know how else it could be universal.

Keep in mind, this is just a patent, doesn't mean Sony will actually use it like the thousands of other unused patents I'm sure.

No. I rely on the protruding buttons to tell exactly what button I'm pressing.

Good idea, Horrible implementation

Sorry but i like to have physical toggle buttons on my controller. Don't want to constantly having to looking down to see if my fingers are still hitting the right 'inputs'

now if it has LED buttons that can display different symbols and can be moved this would be great.

Problem is, lego doesn't want to share his blocks.

Millions of dollars in R&D they'll think of something! buttons damnit BUTTONS!
