Do you reckon they intentionally designed it to look like a dildo?

If I do buy a PS3, there's no way I'm using that whilst my mum's at home.

No. Way.

I'm fine with that name as long as they're not gonna pull Tim Langdell's (or whatever his name is).

Haha, I have a housemate called Naomi and she sometimes moans a bit. She's Scouse though, so it's not unexpected... ;)

Anyway, back on topic. Regardless of what Sony's controller called in the end, I still think Natal is going to be the motion control peripheral that actually changes gaming completely, and for the better. Gem is a pretty cool name, methinks. But it's too much like the Wiimote for my taste. I seriously believe that controller-less gaming is the future, and Natal is the closest thing we have to reaching that at the moment.

The nice part about this title is that it's brought more of us oldsters out in the open.

As for it "looking rude" anyone else remember a vibrat-a-majig a few years back, I think it was from Nintendo, looked like a "personal massager", and even came with a velvety carry case? I think it was featured on G4, and Morgan Webb was the one talking about it. Maybe game makers are rying subliminal advertising. Remember all the Wii jokes?

...yeah.

I fail to see how this name is Outrageous, Exciting, Avdenturous or in any other way "special".

Now if they had called it something like "Fuckstick of DOOOOOOOOOOM!" Then... maybe. I think some of these excitable analysts need to go get laid.

Hmmm, a female friend of mine has been looking for an excuse to get back into gaming. Maybe I should send her a link to this thread... xD

Well, as long as it isn't called "ball" I can sleep happily at nights. Now, let's see whether they have the software to prove this "awesomeness". If Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition is any indication, I will be laughing till I burst my spleen.

I realize the questions have already been answered upthread, but really, people: posting a message to the forum is easier than using google? You whippersnappers (and foreigners) just need to learn what us old timers do when we find you muttering your lyrics to your hippity hop music.

Let me help you out: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=gem+outrageous

Posted that one earlier. Sources in the industry are saying that after the success of Transformers and G.I. Joe, Jerrica Benton may be the next one to be revived from the 80's.

And tell me Lady Gaga isn't built to be in that role.

Kotaku [http://www.us.playstation.com/]. "We haven't announced [the] final name at this point."

Ah well. It was truly outrageous while it lasted.
Aw :( That would have been awesome. Of course now the Jem song is stuck in my head which is not so awesome but nostalgia ahoy!
