Sony "Pleased" By Nintendo 3DS

I'm so confused by sony, they're happy about the failure of the PSPGo, and happy about the popularity of the 3DS?

Guys I think someone is editing your statements to sound crazy.

Well, you have to remember that Sony is a standard entertainment (not video-game) company first and foremost. Sure the PS3 is big, but that's not what Sony's built on. Same with Microsoft. The X-box is more of a side-note to the company than it would be for Nintendo, which has ALWAYS been a video-game only company.
It's probably Sony going off of their strengths with their TV's (Which I've consistently had problems with.

3d makes me so sad. We're going to reach a point in the future where every single thing is in 3d, and I can't even use it because I'm almost blind in my left eye and have bad depth perception.

Does this guy not get it??! The Nintendo 3Ds is self contained. It needs no 3d television to give players 3d. The Sony PS3 is not self contained and needs players to have a 3d television to view the games in 3d. HUGE difference.

I can go out as soon as the 3DS is released and buy it, buy the games,use it, and enjoy 3d gaming. I can not do this with a 3d capable PS3.

The difference? About 2500 dollars!

And to think Sony pays this guy!

And then they remember that the Iphone and ipod touch is much better than either.

Sony would want the 3DS to be successful to bring 3d into the mainstream. This would help them tout their 3d ready appliances since everyone will be comfortable with the notion by then.

Also iPhones and iPod touches (throw iPads in there for good measure), are like Game and Watches compared to these.

what about 90% of you are forgetting is that you can turn the 3D OFF. 2D gamers, there ya go. next item on the list: headaches. people apparently dont do research or watch videos of people who actually tried it out. the technology used for the 3D effect in movies and tv is WAY different than the 3DS. ive seen a couple videos of people who say they hate 3D tv's and movies and they give them headaches but they said they loved this. they said its more 'natural' which is the best way to describe it. its not really about popping out as much as it is about DEPTH!!!!!

lastly, its a bargain to get even without 3D. not only is there a list of 73 games coming out for it at launch, but most of those games are extremely fun series' or 3D remaakes of old popular titles (*ahem* zelda ocarina of time with improved graphics *ahem*). ALSO the graphics that are comparable to wii. for a handheld, thats amazing. AND wi-fi and file sharing 24/7?? even in sleep these things share data! also 3D movies and pictures and online....

ok i think im done with my rant. my whole point is to do your research before you bash something. oh and did i mention that this is all within a $250 price range? yeah. i hope ive enlightened at least some of you in that this isnt just a DS update. its a lone powerhouse! im definitely getting this day 1. (p.s. sorry for the lack of capitals. im using a phone and im lazy. sue me )
