I think it's a little too clear-cut/simple having one character being definitively good and the other being definitively evil, but apparently we have option to switch back and forth between the two? That works for me.
Yeah, seems like new paint job on "good choice/bad choice."

Though I'm not sure it works for me, it's not a major downer, either.

News article: inFamous 2 racist because white girl is good, black girl is bad.

I really hope there's going to be something a bit more substantial than what girl delivers the mission, probably voiced by the same actor. When games remove consequence, they remove depth because no thought has to go into your actions.

Heavy Rain (arguably not the best example of a game) did consequence really well, thus promoting actual thought - for the first time I had to stop playing and think what would I do.

It'll be a good game regardless - the free roam aspect is perfect. Story just seems to be a mess

Good news, an Infamous 2. Bad news, the moral choice system is back in.

Infamous's moral choice system was horrible. It was super black and white.

Is pic #4 Nix or a Twi'lek? Seems a very odd style design, but maybe it's just my tired early-morning eyes.

As excited as i am for the game, does anyone else think that Nix looks like a red version of that dancer from return of the jedi?

Nix is not a Twi'lek, she just has very bad dreads. However, I will give you that her skin colour's not too far off a Lethan Twi'leks.

Calling New Marais a New Orleans rip-off is needlessly harsh. Sucker Punch has been quite open about their inspiration and are going through a great deal of time and effort to create a New Orleans-like city.

I really enjoyed the first game, and I played the demo at PAX 2010, but it was pretty buggy. The guy ahead of me had the game crash on him entirely. The graphics look great though, especially in comparison to the first inFamous, and they should have enough time to iron everything out.

Actually, the good girl is Asian. You can see this if you take a closer look at her. And Kuo is a Korean name.

I dont like this, making Cole less a hero/villain/anti-hero/ant-vilain and making him a tool for someone else to use; And am I the only one who thinks its a little uncool that its basing it around two women that will (probably) be Love interests not long after the death of a woman that made me do a bad thing (I was Cole McNice.) in a vain attempt to save her? Im just hoping we can play Cole like Trish's death was a huge impact on him and he isnt going to start flagrantly porking Native Americans and Government agents.
Well thanks for the spoiler man. My freaking copy of the first game is only on it's way here and I already know some girl named Trish is gonna die and there's nothing I can do about it. I mean, we are past the 6 month barrier still but your timing couldn't have been better.

Don't worry. There's plenty of other stuff in the game that should interest and/or surprise you. One little spoiler about one small part of the game's story is not that big of a deal.

Ugh, what a bait and switch. I read the title and thought, Morality linked to female and possible romantic partner? YES! Sasha's back. But no~~, it's some new girl to lead you down the dark path. Well, like someone else said, Nix seems a little more chaotic neutral, so maybe Sasha can still be in for a true dark-side route. If anybody was worth it, it was Sasha. Her infamous missions were more fun anyway. I mean, you get to fight with teleporting reapers at your side, that was so cool.

Some of inFamous' moral choices were extremely arbitrary and more black and white than a monochrome zebra; for example, when fighting one of the Dust Men's big rubbish robots, the choice is literally:

"Humph... I could take a missile for a dieing man and take barely any damage, or I could kill 10 innocent civilians. Tough choice."

Judging by their designs we get to make the exciting choice between either the bland, gray government agent and her evil counterpart: the ethnic voodoo cartoon character, possible a Star Wars refugee.

Seriously, what is up with her face? It looks like it was painted on, and at what seems to be a crooked angle.

I hope you don't mean "ethnic" as in opposed to the other non-ethnic girl. Because the other girl is Asian, not white.

It doesn't look like the system is going to be that simple this time around. Because even Nix still hates the villain. It looks like it's going to be more like being responsible and considerate versus being ruthless and merciless.

No, I meant ethnic as in 'going for that stereotypical, vaguely tribal/voodoo ethnic look': beads, dreads, lots of bracelets and necklaces and what seems like some kind of tribal tattoo or scarification above her breasts, though that could be part of her clothes. A stark contrast with the plain looking Kuo.

Actually, I think that the contrasting appearances of the two characters are meant to serve as a visual reflection of their personalities. Nix evidently has a wild, ruthless, "devil may care" attitude. While Kuo is thoughtful, considerate, responsible, and reserved. Or in other words one character represents chaos while the other represents order.

I also think the choice is essentially going to be the "we have to do things right" view versus the "the ends justify the means" view.

Or perhaps it's more of a choice between justice and vengeance.
