Wait, I'm confused, so is Sony releasing two different handhelds at once? Or are they backing the NGP first and foremost, and this is just a side project in another Sony division?

Around that time I should be in the market for a new phone, so I will have to keep an eye on that.

Hopefully the battery life doesn't suck, no pun intended, and it's not gimmicky.

I was gonna get this, but I didn't know when it was coming out. Ended up getting a Windows Phone 7 and I'm happy with it so far :)
Was looking at Windows Phone 7 myself... wasn't too sure on the whole facebook/contacts setup they have going with it. What are your thoughts?
Trust me, I was worried about that myself. So I flat out refused to sync my Facebook contacts. All I really have is my Windows Live email contacts, and my Google email contacts.

Um, it already said that the battery life is 5 and half hours.

This isn't really a handheld. It's more of a phone that prides itself in outdoing other phones when it comes to games.

Did they? Must have skipped over that part on my end. I will still wait and see, pardon my skeptisism.

I'm defiantly going to consider this as my next phone. When heading out and about for a day, maybe on the train into town or a car journey to visit relatives I usually end up carrying my phone, ipod touch, DSi, headphones and possible chargers for one or two of them if the battery life doesn't look to promising before setting off. This phone would immediately appeal to me in terms of convenience, all i'd need is my phone and headphones!

Might wait to see what the reviews say about this phone when its launched, maybe wait for a software update or two as well to iron out the kinks but this seems like a fantastic first smart phone for me!
