Care less about the lollipop sony.

You don't need Microsofts marketing budget....

They have to sell a system that has a 50% failure rate.

My ps3 1st gen is still working...

It's called "quality"

Microsoft must spend like 90% of their budget on advertising, it's the only way they'll sell their shoddy hardware and games for such a ridiculous price.

Xbox bashing aside Sony work well with their lower budget advertising, it's more about substance than flare!

Two words: mon-tage

Who needs a big budget, when you have a montage?
That reminded me of how bleh the ads were using that second guy. Although, some of their really early, obscure ones were downright stupid.
My favorite was back when I only had a 360 and resented the PS3 for not residing in my entertainment stand:
Aw, dammit Sony, now I want it and I need it, too!

So far, I think Microsoft's been dumping most all of their television ad money into Halo Reach. If TV ads were all I had to go by, I would think that Reach was pretty much the only thing going for the 360 now. [sub]I find it unfortunate that is the truth for me...[sub] They're a lot smarter for the Reach ad though, because I can only imagine the horror that would be a Kinect Kommercial.

What do you have against Kevin Butler?
Nothing at all, I just found them in general bleh because some were better than others, but none that special. They're fine for a TV ad, just nothing that makes me any more interested in a PS3 (even though I have one) or some of the games advertised. I probably have had the misfortune of seeing more the bad than good (I don't watch much television), so I'll hand it to Sony for variety for sure! The diverse array of commercials keeps them in line with my patience, whereas the Reach ads as of late are wearing thin for example. The absolute worst has been the Mafia II commercial because they played the same thing over and over.
