Sony's Free "Welcome Back" Game Downloads Go Live

THANK YOU! was starting to brn up because one of the 2 free games wouldn't appear on my download list ^^, fixed with the Services list thingy. Yeah probably lagging is not a good way to say "hey welcome back!" but hey, somewhat worthwhile.

Every time I try to log in? No idea what's going on, but it seems some users are just being hassled by this message every time they log in and try to get onto the Store.

... I would still MUCH rather have store credit, and there hasn't been a good reason given as to why they wouldn't do that.

If they give you a store credit, it would cost them money for you purchase. Instead, they decided to give you 1st party games so they don't have to pay any developers. Also, they are probably using this as a promotion instead of a sincere welcome back. They gave older games in hopes that you will buy the sequel to it.

My downloads - inFamous and Wipeout HD. I was going to get Wipeout before the Fall, and was pleased it was announced I was saving cash.

I have also obtained Burnout Paradise and Magic: the Gathering (a game I've been interested but have had no inclination to buy cards or get into the scene) for free - thanks to PS+, so all in all a big haul.

Make sure to complete the download of each title all the way otherwise you?ll have to go into account management>transaction management>services list>SCEA Promotions to download the games.

You are correct on your initial assumption. You can obtain the games even without a PSP. Hell, if you plan on getting the NGP, you can play them on that.

As a word of warning, the PlayStation Store appears to be experiencing errors as of this writing. I personally downloaded the tokens, it didn't let me download the games, and then the tokens were gone. However, customer support reveals that anyone this happens to should go to the XMB --> Account Management --> Transaction Management --> Service List --> SCEA Promotions (or your associated region). Then choose the token and download the content. Unfortunately, even that method isn't perfect at this time, as Sony's servers may be overloaded.

HELP!

So I finally get in. I finally download Infamous. It gets to 100% and finishes installing . . as soon as it is finished "error installing". Now I figured out how to redownload it, but the original download is no longer available . . but is taking up space nonetheless! I can't delete it, and I can't redownload it either, since I don't have enough space because the original download is still on there!

Well I managed to start my InFAMOUS download, but I got that "disappearing" error with the second token

Also, does PS+ content get wiped from your HDD as soon as your subscription ends? Very confused.
