So just like last night with Nintendo and their 3DS conference, Sony is set to do the same tonight with their games with a heavy focus on the Vita. Should start around Midnight EST with live streams and what not.
There are A LOT of games that are gonna be covered here for the Vita; in fact there are around 13-18 yet unannounced titles that will be revealed. So I thought I'd do a sort of live blog and update this post with the latest news on the conference to see what sort of Vita and PS3goodness Sony has in store.
But the conference won't start for another 45 minutes at the time of this posting so to keep some discussion going here is some news.
- Seems Famitsu has spilled the beans on some titles that are going to be announced atthe event and well...good things are coming:
- Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 will be a launch title for the Vita. Hell-fuckin yes. And if it has cross platform play with the PS3 like Blazblue will then even better. http://www.siliconera.com/2011/09/13/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3-will-be-a-playstation-vita-launch-game-too/
- A remake of Ys4 and possibly Origin. Not known WHICH version of Ys4 they are remaking (there were two), but it will use Ys7's party based system which is just.....win. Seriously, if you loved the Mana games, Ys7 was AWESOME. http://www.siliconera.com/2011/09/13/ys-iv-is-being-remade-for-playstation-vita/
- A Ninja Gaiden game, possibly a remake of Sigma Black turbo HD remixwhatchmacallit. New Ninja Gaiden game, nothing more needs to be said.
- Namco Bandai is making a new Katamari game for the Vita, be interesting to see howit makes use of the systems controls.
- A new Tales of is also in the works
- Hells Army Corps, which appears to be a Monster Hunter type game being published by SE. And other Monster Hunter like games such as God Eater 2, and Lord of Apocalypse. How much you wanna be Capcom is gonna show up and announce Monster Hunter4 for the Vita as well, I'm so calling it.
And that's all that's known for now outside of info on already known games for the system. Theshow will start soon andif you wanna tune inhere is a link to the stream: http://tgs.playstation.jp/info/conference_en/
In the meantime feel free to share your thoughts, theories on game announcements, and feelings about the up to date news.

So far nothing game exclusive wise. Just talking about 3G,data plans, and the Vitas network connectivity and ability to interface with a lot of things.
Seems you can also multi task with the vita, nice touch given the hardware the thing is packing.
This also applies to when you are gaming.
Social networking apps for the Vitaas well including Skype and facebook. Good to see Skype will still be there, and Skype while gaming? hell yes!
You can even facebook and tweet while gaming....interesting for those who like that.
---------------
I think games are coming up next, the stuff we wanna see.
CAPCOM is first, here comes the announcement of UMvC3 and maybe more footage of Capcom x Tekken. Like the magazines mentioned, UMvC3 will be a Vita launch title, AND you will be able to play online over PSN. The game will run at 60fps and is pretty much aperfect port of the console version.
And a big WTF just happened. Seems Toro and Kuro(google em) will be added into Street Fighter X Tekken....just....WTF!?
---------------
Square Enix is now up on stage...
Announcing their two new monster hunter like games, Lord of Apocalypse and Army Corps of Hell. Both are Launch titles.
Talking about FF13-2and Type-0 release dates...Japan release dates /sadface
'To Zanarkand' theme is playing, and SE is making an HD version of FFX for PS3 and Vita....I hated 10 but that's still good news for fans.
---------------
Hey look, it's everyones favorite crazy game producer Hideo Kojima.
Kojima discusses a previously announced data transfer service that can let you jump games from PS3 and PSP.
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD, to be release in November 2011 for JP.
Metal Gear Solid HD Edition, MGS 2 and 3 included in HD collection, will be released on Vita in 2012.
Zone of Enders HD announcement, for PS3 and Vita. It will be coming in 2012
And Kojima says that he's devleoping an original title for the Fox Engine that will be used for both the PS3 and Vita.
---------------
Some general game talk about functionality and what not.
After much banter on stuff we gamers don't really care about (if it aint games it doesn't much matter).
LAUNCH titles - see above list plus all known launch titles previous to this.
Tales of Innocence, Gravity Daze, Metal Gear Solid HD Edition, Fifa, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and other titles will follow sometime after launch.
100 Vita titles will hit the market by the time we finish the Vita's launch window. Damn...that's a lot.
Vita will support most downloadable PSP content. Old news but still good to know.
31 Vita titles will be playable this weekend, during the TOkyo Game Show.
-------------------
Annnd that seems to be it, rest being closing remarks and stuff. Left out a lot of Japanese exclusive stuff that don't concern us.
Was expecting more titles to be shown, just overall we got a lot of good news and info that will leave people comfortable in the Vitas success. More titles are on the way, but typical of SOny to make a huge chunk of the show a very 'business' oriented show and notas much for gamers.
