Well then, thats great news to hear. If this pans out to be true then how can you blame the hacker when the company leaves its front door open for months?

I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that these guy(s) just got lucky or had some sort of covert inside assistance, but it would appear it was just classic negligence.

Won't stop me from continuing to use the service though. I know this won't happen again because if it turns out to definitively be Sony's fault, the billions of $ they're going to lose in court is going to make damn sure they don't do it again.

I lol at this. Someone argued with me on an earlier article that Sony couldn't -really- be blamed because I had no physical proof that their security sucked.
