If you didn't have a PSN account before the outage hit, I doubt you'll get anything. (can someone confirm this?)

Not much of a "welcome back" if you were not a member now is it? Although if so it sounds like you've been bitten on both ends, since they released the $100 off new consoles coupon for the incident.

i'm just going off of the sites i've looked it up on, saying it's 5 games and you pick 2 within 30 days of the service going back up. i wasn't sure if it was old members only.

I think you had to have an account created already before the outage. Still, maybe emailing them a copy of the receipt could get you in on the action.

All I see going around is 30 days after the store is up on their site. Maybe they'll be nice and let people who bought a PS3 during the downtime in on the deal, but I wouldn't be too hopeful. It'd be a nice gesture since those people did miss out on the service, but their information wasn't at risk or anything.

Most gamers I see tend to be rather rabid about what they are entitled to though, so I'm sure there will be a good amount of people all over the fact that they didn't get the games if they aren't available for them if they purchased after the PSN went down.

Might be able to contact customer service and give them the receipt information or the console serial and they might hook you up.

If you didn't have a PSN account before April 20th 2011, you're out of luck.

why did my birthday have to be the 22nd.
I think your parents are more suited to answer that particular question.

If I were you I would still give it a shot, send them an email stating "you got the PS3 for a birthday present on the 22nd and if they could let you have a free game" if your feeling a little cheekier ask for both.
