Overall it's not too bad. I'm gainfully employed at the moment, cooking weekends at a retirement home. I went and visited a friend who's moving out of state in a couple of weeks, played a game of Monopoly with her and a couple of her roommates, something we haven't done in quite a while.

I'm saving up money to build a new PC and in another three or four months I should be able to order parts if I can stop buying shit off Amazon and Steam, and now apparently Mars Attacks comics...

I haven't posted here in like 4 months but screw it I'm feeling chatty too.

Things are going pretty good actually. I've been basically living the poor college student life working whatever hours I can get at the overstaffed restaurant I work at and donating plasma (hey, people knock it but it almost doubles my income).

Today was a good one for me though, I found out that I have a pretty good shot at an IT job for my local school district. I hope that works out, I'd love so much to have my life on a schedule again...

I enjoy reading these posts, thanks for asking OP!

Today was pretty typical but ended on a sour note for sure. I went about my day as normal - I've got my two math classes on Wednesdays and I've filled most of my free time with my job as a tutor. I spent most of my downtime staring blankly at my differential geometry homework hoping it would suddenly start making sense (still nothing!). Walked a friend back to her apartment after work. On my way back home I got a message from my mother about my younger brother being arrested and spent a good few hours arguing back and forth about how the whole situation should be handled which ended up going fuck anywhere.

Finally got home and started doing some laundry and so here I sit waiting on my laundry before I go to bed and do it all over again.

Oh and I can't stop listening to the damn opening to Clannad for some reason. It's just stuck in my head something fierce.

I am feeling relieved but disappointed.
I had a rule that I do not go to people's weddings.
However I was willing to bend the rule for my best friend's wedding and my nephew in law's wedding since they were happening back to back and i was feeling generous.
However, the nephew in law called his wedding off, and my best friend has been a total bridzilla on me ever since I replied to the invitation.
She went as far as to say " I think I am pregnant. I dont think I can do this alone, so why dont you get pregnant to and we can have babies together". I kinda thought that was insensitive because some people want kids but can for various reasons.

So, I decided that since one wedding is cancelled and the other is being such a b@@@h I will not go to either.

Thus relieved but disappointed to find out that my best friend is a insensitive self centered b@@@h.

I'm somewhat conflicted at the moment-

I got an interview coming up next week which I think I have a high chance of getting it (I know someone who worked in the company who would put in the good words about me). I am conflicted at the possiblity of given my notice to my current manager if I do get the position.

I also feeling abit of reluctant of going to it but I'm guessing I am only feeling like this because I have been on the manager good side this week (less of her compliant and critize toward me). I guess I should be reminded at why I should leave my current workplace (I have no respect for the manager for being unorganize and think little of us employees who aren't up to her high standard).

My main concern at the idea of handing in my notice to the manager as this will be my first time doing it (my current workplace is my first ever job after Uni). I know that two weeks is the standard amount to hand in your notice but my supervisor (who also intend to leave aswell because of the manager) told me it's totally ok for me have my notice as a day only because of my work contract (only 4 hours). Since my contract hours is that short, the manager is powerless to say or get me to prolong my notices, well that what the supervisor had said.

It's not that I believe him or not, I more concern if the manager would be totally ok if I hand in a day notice. Granted I do intend to have my notice at a week at most since I know someone is going on holiday soon and the place will be understaff.

Sure I know I am getting ahead of myself but I am the type who plan this sort of thing out. Sure I may not get the job in the end but I should be prepare at what to do and say if I do get the job.
