SOS SOS SOS SOS SOS SOS SOS:

I need a little advice...

What is the difference between the XBOX 360 that is $200, $400, $600 US? What is the extra memory necessary/most used for?

I need some expert advice on buying a raffle item for my group's Christmas concert? All suggestions would be helpful.

Oh, props to the person who e-mailed me the "Create a Post" tutorial. Thanks!!

The three models are $200, $300, and $400 USD. For a raffle, your best bet is the $300 model because it includes the hard drive.

IF it's just a raffle, get the $300 one with the 60GB HDD
Why would that one be more advantageous?? Is it the more balanced so to speak.

What they said, it makes more scence.
What's up with the hard drive...do they make games that you can't play on the basic model?

Sorry, my school disables links to certain sites and I have to make kind of a snap decision.

Yes. You can go bigger than that, but it starts getting dramatically more expensive. I can only imagine the $600 is a combo with a few games.

Actually, yes. We'd like to raffle one off at our band concert. We feel it would get the students' attention, and the demand for tickets would be very high. Why I am placing this question to my more technically minded friends is so that I am not COMPLETELY laughed out of the building.

The "middle" package these days is probably the best to offer as a prize. It has the hard disc already attached, so there's plenty of space for movies, downloads game saves, etc. It also includes the component hi-def cables which also work on standard-definition TVs, so anyone can use it without buying extra parts. It als includes a wireless controller, whereas the Arcade version gives you a wired one only.

I'd say the 60GB version is the best bet for a raffle.

the cheaper "arcade" version would be my first bet if it was for a give-away. They can always buy a hardrive for themselves once they've won it!

A prize that you need to buy extra parts for? Um...
