I just read this and it made my day. I hope Crystal Dynamics announces the shit out of this game as soon as possible. I hope it's the story they originally wanted to tell before Eidos forced them to release it half finished.

That's pretty cool. I've never played any of the games in the series but I always liked their visual aesthetic.

Seems like an idea tailor made for me.

Not very excited at all. Let the series be, it's a symbol of a long gone age.

There really is no future for the series as Jay has departed and the lead writer is no longer involved.

I'm like really excited and hoping this gets confirmed, SE is really making some good decisions with rebooting this old franchises
sure Final Fantasy sucks now but man LC&GL, MP, DE, TR and now this now if they manage to give me a new Chrono game, a remake of Seiken Densetsu 3, and/or release Dragon Quest VIII on the PSN all will be forgiven

It is great and i am veery excited about this.
Unfortunatly remaking or relaunching a franchise like this may prove extremly hard to pull of because of all of the expectations, hopes and dreams of the "fans". Beware of not making the storie to "dumbed down" so that you can catch a broader audience.

I hope they succed, im just going to be carefull when it sees the light of day.

Oh hell yes! Been itching for a new game in this universe since I finished Defiance all those years ago. If they actually bring back the old characters and get the original voice acting cast, I will be the happiset man on the sodding planet.

Damn shame Tony Jay is no longer with us, his performance as The Elder God really was one of the highlights of the series...
