souls and zombies

I was having a conversation with my mom about zombies and I asked her if a human gets bitten does mean their soul is trapped in the zombie body just waiting to get shot or does the soul go to wherever souls go I want to hear other people's opinions

I don't believe in souls.

However, I shall assume by "soul" you mean "consciousness". Technically by its very definition a zombie is unconscious of its actions.
Therefore, if you believe so, you could extrapolate that a zombie has no soul.

Depends on your theology I suppose, and your understanding of it. If, for example, a Christian thinks that a soul goes to heaven as soon as the person dies, then they probably believe that zombies have no soul. If a different Christian however thinks that a soul only gets to heaven once the body is burried, then they probably would think that the zombies still have souls. If an Atheist is in this situation, then they'll probably think that the soul is wherever the James Brown zombie is.
