Yesterday I bought Civilizations 4 Complete for the PC (duh). I get it installed and start to play, but there's no sound. I've checked all over the Internet for a solution but have found nothing. So, any suggestions?

Ok i'm not being stupid but are your speakers on?
Are the master sound settings set up properly?
Do you have it patched to the latest levl?

Go into the game go into options or settings i can't remeber what it is called. Go under the sound tab and check your sound tab.

Okay. Those are all set up at default.

Do you have sound in other programs?

Go to
Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control
Make sure the Master Volume, Wave, CD Player, and Synth are turned up.

I've had so many problems with Civ 4 since I got it (about 4 days ago) that I stopped playing it.

Yes.

Master was turned pretty low, I raised it and still nothing.

If it helps, the sound jumps in for .2 of a second when I exit the game.

Really, you should be asking this at a tech forum or the official forum for the game.

It would help if you posted you specs.

Have you updated your soundcard driver to the newest version?

Yes. I even tried reinstalling all the drivers and still nothing except the .2 seconds.
