Apparently its fun. So it doesn't matter that much.

Kind of like how Saints Row is considered by many to be a rip-off of Grand Theft Auto. And some would consider Saints Row better.

Everything copies from everything these days. Its not that big of a deal.

yes and no. It The first just cause (if i remeber correctly) came out just after mercs 1 and was similiar but was less fun and had the grappling hook then or atleast the parachute and a few more wacky things than mercs 1 had.
