I made the mistake of having my iPhone's alarm sound be the default ringtone. Everywhere I hear it I just about take the person's phone and smash it over my forehead, ripping my shirt with my massive pecs and screaming about how my unending rage will tear this universe apart.

That squeaking sound that two pieces of styrofoam make when rubbed together. It actually causes me physical pain. Fingernails on a chalkboard have nothing on it.

I'll never understand what possesses toddlers to top 80 decibels so casually. Babies at least cry for a reason, kids will scream for no fucking reason whatsoever - not to mention converse via shouting. Sometimes I just wanna yell back at them.

As like six other people have said: the sound of people eating. I'm a little different in that it doesn't matter how they eat and the sounds of my eating also drives me nuts.
If there is no music or television or any sort of background noise to distract/drown out the eating sounds, I actually can't take it and will freak out if I don't get away from the noise.

Honestly, any sound that is alien to me or I cannot find the source of.
If I hear something that I'm not familiar with, or I don't know where it is coming from, it tends to drive me insane. Luckily, I always tend to know in a matter of minutes, but it really can drag me away from whatever I am doing or focused on.

Loud motorcycles and people trying to drink the very last tiny drops of fluid from there 20 gallon fat drink with a straw, also nails on chalkboard. Makes me cringe and want to strangle people.
Douchebags in expensive cars their parents bought them, trying to be as loud as possible. I wake up at 2 AM just hearing "BLAAAAAAAARPRPRPRRPLPLPLPAAAAAAAAAAAARP." Gah.
Also, some people who can't eat meat without making a horrible squelching noise. How do you even make that sound!?

It seems that every time i go on an airplane. EVERY FUCKING TIME there is crying baby behind me. and no matter what, no matter how quiet every else is and the complete lack of turbulence, that damn baby find some reason to shriek to its hearts content.

Phones Ringing - not just ring tones - just any phone ringing in any way, including and perhaps especially the buzzing of phones on vibrate, makes me want to have a 10lb sledgehammer, 12ga shotgun, or convenient 5+ story drop handy at all times...
Birds: repetitive squeaking, chirping, and cawing, always when I'm trying to sleep...
Noise for the sake of noise: I'm sure everyone knows someone like this, who can't stand silence or sitting still and just seems to NEED to make noise if there isn't any. Half the time they aren't even aware they do it!
Also side note: Loud motorcycles, I know this doesn't excuse anything, and few riders care about it, but I do - It is safer to have a loud motorcycle, when people driving can hear me coming they are less likely to run me over or absentmindedly cut me off and kill me.

@FrostyChick - I agree some of these seem like annoyances while my original issue actually causes my blood pressure to rise instantly. People talk about "seeing red", that is what this sound does to me.

I simply hate, hate, HATE snoring. Especially when I am trying to sleep. I know of nothing that will make me as angry, desperate and uncomfortable as the sound of someone snoring when I am trying to sleep. Makes me want to punch things, but at the same time I don't want to wake the snoring person up...
Similar issues, but to me it's how some people drink. Gurgling, smacking ... A sound as if the entire bottle was down their throat and they were running out of air ... And in some cases that's even awfully true ...MysticToast said:
