Are the speakers plugged in?

Have you checked the System Setting to make sure its not muted?

Did you turn the sound down on the video not your computor?

Thats all the help i can give...

Are you getting any sounds at all? Are the speakers built into the monitor-half of the laptop?

Have you considered the the hardware may be busted and will need repairing/replacing? Is it under warranty or insured?

Is the internet setting muted?

Check your sound preferences.

Do you have headphones plugged in?

Have you tried plugging in some external speakers/headphones?

Do you have any additional audio software (I have realtek HD Audio Manager)?

Are drivers fully upto date?

Could be the sound card perhaps?
is that fixable in software?

or is that break open your computer and put a new one in?
A sound cards inside your computer, two things I can think could be wrong: Hardware (break in and fix), or drivers/required software isn't installed, in which case you should have a disc that came with the computer/sound card.

Check your drivers, look in your device manager and see if theres any hardware / driver issues
