Alright guy's before I have to run back to school,
I have to ask is anyone planning on going to the 2011 soundwave festival

Or have they been to them in the past

I personally have made it to both 2009 and 2010 festivals.

Never actually heard of it, but based on the styles of the past line-ups, I don't think I'd be interested. Plus, I've never even heard of any of the bands already announced for 2011. I might look into it a little closer to the actual festival, but at the moment it's probably a no.

I may be, depends on who else gets on the lineup, also depends on if I get to go for free or not. Work sprung me freebies for the 09 one, which was good because there's no way in hell I would have paid money to be within 5 kilometres of Trent Reznor.

Line-up doesn't sound too appealing and I'm not a fan of the bands that performed in the previous years either, except one or two. Might see if any of the sideshows are U18, because I probably won't be going to the festival itself.

Where is the confirmed 2011 lineup so far? The soundwave Site still only has last years lineup.

Since the whole "police state" feel of these festivals was introduced I stopped going to them and that was years ago...Sniffer dogs everywhere..Great to see the cops out targeting the real public menace's (ie the easy targets).

It really has a 'downer' effect on the fun that these festivals are supposed to produce..When there is a uniformed officer with a "K-9 sidekick" it feels like something that should be in black and white or something
