My first thought upon seeing this thread was to make a TF2 joke of some kind, but they've all been made. Now I'm just left wondering what it'd take to get one and install it in my house.

I can see it now: the North Korean army marches in and suddenly the battlefield is filled with "Hello", "Preparing to Dispense Product", "There you are", and eventually it all breaks down to "My fault", "Sorry", "I don't hate you", Goodbye".

Are they bipedal? Is it the beginning of a metal gear?!

But OT: Technology has come a long way. You only wanna worry when they can transform.

How much you wanna bet someone in the states is going to hear about this and say "Why can't we install them there funny little robits with muchine gunz to keep the mex i cans out?" Bonus points if its the Arizona legislature.
Well I am in that state and I wouldn't count it out other than the cost. You just need to talk to those who are running for election. They are all in need of some idea to make them stand out, robots might do it. But I would have to move as the damn robots are going to turn on us. I will be building my anti-robot bunker as soon as I buy my house.

Not surprising that the UGV's (unmanned ground vehicle) are getting serious firepower now, after all, we already have unmanned planes that can surgically remove you're house from existence with one missile.
Yep. And they only sometimes screw up and kill the wrong target.

So...this seems like it can really really easily go wrong. Then comes the fight over the South Korean attack across the DMZ that they insist was an accident.

Of course, my fear might be misplaced and there are already constant attacks across the DMZ and it isn't enough to trigger open warfare.

Let's hope South Korea has some damn good Spy Checking Pyros, then. They wouldn't want THESE Sentries down.

I can't wait till one of the sensors fucks up and they end up shooting the wrong target or worse, a friendly soldier. On the other hand, this should be good for South Korea, seeing as most of their population has training for this sort of things with their 48-hour gaming sessions. Revolution! Revolution I say!

I remember reading an article some years ago about... it was some phone company. I want to say Nokia, but I could be wrong. Anyway, some phone company was designing and building automated turret defense systems for South Korea. So seeing it unfold like it has here is no surprise to me. Disturbing, but no surprise.

When is the South going to invade the North, every one knows as long as china stays out of it the war would be over shortly with a win for the South Koreans.
