I believe its 1 in 10 people are left handed? I am one of them. For those who are left handed what are the pros and cons.

There is a slight advantage while batting in baseball (starting closer to first base).

I notice if I write something I sometimes smear the ink or graphite as my hand slides over what I just wrote.

Lefty here. Other than what you said I can think of absolutely no advantages other than if you speak a language that writes right to left you won't smudge the page.

Just seems to be disadvantages.

I'm left-handed, but I don't even get to enjoy the benefits in sports as I generally play right-handed anyway. I actually tend to do most things right-handed, but I do write with my left hand, which is incredibly inconvenient. The only way I've found to avoid smudging the page is to hold your hand in the air, but then the writing is extremely messy anyway. Weirdly, I find it much easier to use right-handed scissors, but in my left hand. Possibly because at school I always used right-handed ones and so just got used to it.

I struggle with explanations by right-handed people involving hand movements, I just I have trouble sometimes imagining it flipped. I'm not very fast with my right hand for typing as well.

Edit : Forgot about scissors I have once tried to cut a ribbon with scissors in my left hand and it refused to cut no matter how many times I tried. Switched to the right hand and cut the ribbon instantly, It really depends on the scissors I use but I think reality just screws with me sometimes.
