I like multiplayer games. From what I have heard, Spacemarine is going to have co-op mulitplayer and that is something I love. I must have played through the CoD5 campaign co-op with friends at least 5 times. Many many hours playing Minecraft with friends. I've played Men of War: assault squad co-op a couple of times. The thing I like with co-op games is the experience. You are playing with your friends. You have incredibly funny moments when you all decide to gang up on one person and flip them over in the tank mission in CoD5 and you have the moments when you are all hiding in a dark cave with no torches and creepers blocking the way. I could write a story of our time playing them and that is what I love about co-op and also, multiplayer. You don't need some plot because you make it yourselves. You don't need back-stories and character development because you are playing with your friends. A good co-op or multiplayer can stand up on its own despite what Yahtzee says and I think I might end up playing a lot Spacemarine co-op and I support games having it.

The campaign is pretty damn good (even if the story is recycled from every other Relic 40K game), and I'll be replaying it soon.

The multiplayer is downright awesome... when it works. On the PC it's notoriously laggy, and on the PS3 you can go for literally HOURS waiting to join a game. In fact, I'm writing this as I wait to join, and I've been waiting for a couple of hours now.

All that said, it is worth it, for the sheer pleasure of jumping into the middle of a Chaos Havoc group and hacking them to pieces with a power sword.

I enjoyed the single and multiplayer of Space Marine. One criticism of the single player is that I felt it lacked the usual depth of a relic game. Also, what happened to the awesome voice overs from the Dawn Of War games? One needs over the top silly voices, not bland and dull.

The multiplayer is bloody good fun. A lot of room for expansion and character class. Get some more races in there and some more classes plus new maps...*tasty tasty*.

I quite playing as Chaos due to the awesome shoulder amour they have. Yes, I am that shallow. ^_^

The issue here is target audience. Sure a single player beat em up game is fine and dandy, I don't have any problem with that.

But this is a Warhammer game. Pop quiz, when was the last time someone played 40k by themselves? The source material is multiplayer, so it stands to reason that a good portion of the people buying Space Marine will have friends playing as well.

Thus, Multiplayer is kinda a big deal
