If there were Space Marine women, they'd probably be Chaos Marines under Slaanesh. The Dark Prince would probably get a kick out of genderswapping The Emperor's Finest.

Which is totally what I'm going to do for my future Chaos army, now that I think about it.

Yeah 40k is a hobby of mine, sisters of battle are not space marines.

I agree Girls would probably have big armor plates and lots of guns and the only difference between guy and girl space marines would be the chest.
So, um, only the chest?

All lame jokes aside, a marine is a marine. I'm sure sex would be irrelevant. Maintaining espirit de corps and that sense of camaraderie that modern marines all seem to have would be paramount, I'm sure. Soma tablets for everybody!

Whether or not Sisters of Battle qualify as space marines, I'm pretty sure if a space marine of either gender was found dancing like that, they'd be shot on sight for heresy of the highest order. The music that flash animation was set to was clearly spawn of chaos influences.

In warhammer 40k there are no space marine galz. Do you think they should have Space chicks? And what would they be like?

Edit: Happy birthday!
I don't care? Seriously why should this even be discussed?
Remind me why you felt it nessecary to post?
Because I can. If something's wrong with a thread I'll point it out.
Hopefully you'll take it well and modify it to better suit my needs.

By the way you based a whole thread on a flawed information, so /thread?
Which flawed information would that be?
Pay attention.

But it got me thinking if there were space marine women what would they be like?
That statement implies that there aren't any women in the Dawn of War universe, which is flawed because there [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eldar_(Warhammer_40,000)] are [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sisters_of_Battle].
Eldar are not women and I said "space marine women" which there are not [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sisters_of_Battle].

And Necrons are robots beyond all traces of the humanity, if what their orignal race was, can be called that.

Also you're wrong there ARE space marine 'galz'. They're called The Sisters of Battle.

Actually, for anyone who knows the 40k universe, Sisters of Battle ARE NOT SPACE MARINES!

Sisters of Battle do not have the black carapace that allows the to integrate with the suit of Power Armour to a full extent. Apparently due to physical differences only men can successful receive the black carapace implants to use the Power Armour to its full extent.

Sisters of battle wear a cut down version of the power armour that gives the protection of the power armour but not the additional strength and toughness bonuses space marines get. Ergo - Sisters of battle are weaker than space marines.

The question posed was 'space marine women', implying a space marine force comprised of women (IE - Successful black carapace implants). Well, you'd get a force similar to the eldar with less gender bias and probably it wouldn't make THAT much difference. Like the men space marines they would spend days in prayer, pick up bolters, shell a few damn Xenos and then go back to praying again.

Who are you to say they aren't women? You never saw underneath their armour did you?

Also you're using the same article I used to defend myself against me? One of us is faltering here.
Okay it depends on your definetions really

My defintion of a space marine is in the 40k universe= A human who has undergone the training and cybernetic and biological implants.

ELDAR ARE NOT WOMEN THEY ARE XENOS SUBHUMAN FREAKS AND MUST BE EXTERMINATED CLEANSED!!!!

Were overlooking one thing here... Lets just assume that in this universe there was a sad little girl , whos brothers had all gone off to war and/or been killed by some orks, she decides to dress like a boy, get accepted and upgraded as a space marine and go and find them and/or commit mass genocide.

Q.E.D there is (at least) one space marine girl.

(were assuming that the people who make spacemarines are either blind or terminally thick...)

Officially there are no female Space Marines. All of the original Space Marines were male, as far as we know, as were all the known Primarchs; this means that the process for creating new Marines was designed solely with males in mind and any consideration of changing this, without the utmost secrecy, would be considered the ultimate treason against the Emperor's design.

Some people have created their own chapters which include or exclusively field female Marines, such as the Fighting Tigers of Veda, and there is nothing stopping this being done if you put some effort into their background, just don't expect Games Workshop to ever start producing models.

Sisters of Battle are not Space Marines but a tribe of warrior-women brainwashed into being the personal guard of a corrupt Imperial governor who were subsequently redeemed into the service of the Emperor as the fighting force of the Ecclesiarchy.
This means that they are still human but receive some of the finest equipment available in the Imperium, e.g bolt weapons and power armour, hence the similarity to Space Marines.

As for what female Marines would be like - almost exactly the same as the men really.

Apparently we need a lesson about the Imperium, here.

"Space Marines" in Warhammer 40,000 are the warriors of the Adeptus Astartes. They are genetically engineered from young human males. They cannot be engineered from human females.

Now, please stop feeding the trolls.

Yeah but if they could be 'engineered' what do you think they would be like?

As pointed out above, it's not a matter of traditional gender roles and whatnot in the 40k universe, it's the fact that the gene therapy and numerous implants that Adeptus Astartes recruits have to endure only work on males. They're not just big dudes in power armor, they're exceptionally strong individuals who have undergone extensive modification to make them the closest thing to the Emperor (physically) that mankind has to offer. They have secondary hearts, they can absorb information by eating brains, their rib cages are a solid plate of interwoven bone, they live for literally centuries (the oldest Dreadnaughts were fresh-faced recruits when the God-Emperor himself was up and walking around), etc.

That's not to say that females are marginalized in the 40k universe. In addition to the aforementioned nuns with guns, there are plenty of female PDF/IG forces and assassins (Callidus assassins are almost exclusively portrayed as females), inquisitors, navy officers, psykers, and of course countless trillions of citizens who spend their entire lives toiling at the behest of the immortal God-Emperor of Mankind.

And again, if Space Marines could be female, they would be exactly the same.

You should be kicked in the face for posting that video and horrible meme. The Sisters of Battle are the women of the internet, err, I mean, space. They aren't as badass as the imperial commissar though.

They certainly wouldn't be buxom. Boobs would get in the way. So it'd be pointless. Besides, they can go join the Imperial Guard if they really wanted to fight.

Are you telling me that in Warhammer, WARHAMMER, Space Marine girls would not have boobs?

YES. Boobs are not a strategic asset. Pretty much all body fat is done away with. Space marines don't even have to take their armor off to go to the bathroom because their bodies produce so little waste. Space Marine women would have female names and call each other "battle sisters" but they would look and act exactly the same.

Sure they would. They'd just be flat. It's not like Space Marine Power Armor was made with women in mind, and I'm pretty sure they're out of production.

Though I'm not positive on that last bit.

Anyway, why are you saying 'warhammer' so accusingly?
