This looks terribly interesting, so I'm thinking about downloading it since placing two black holes on each side of a neighboring solar system sounds awesome? But how limited is this program? Can I explore every known space anomaly known to man, or even beyond?

I feel cheated that I've actually had to start using Monte Carlo, this looks so much easier. Not as pretty though. And probably a lot more limited.

This kinda looks like Gods & Idols 2.0, but better developped.
Far better. Then again, G&I is free to play

Looked into it, but no download on that site. Where exactly can you find G&I?
G&I 2.0 is nearing completion. The original alpha version was shutdown in preparation of 2.0's release a few months back. The original was sort of a planetary management game. It wasn't all too spectacular at the time, but is was a neat little time sink, and very pretty to look at. It had a rather small but quite a strong community

2.0 will involve more tactics and strategy

Oh yeah, I saw that. Makes me think of SimEarth taken to the next logical step.

Edit: ...and SimEarth was extremely fucking boring once the novelty of smashing meteors into your planet wore off.

Well when does it come out?
When it does apparently since I can't seem to find an official release date.

The original deadline was april and the engine is all finished, but aparently there's stil some tweaking to do. So yeah, "it's done when it's done", though I don't think it'll be more than a month or two now.

Now, if only you could populate the planets with people only for the amusement of sending two civilised planets careening into one another while shouting "I AM A GOD!" really loud.

I've got the free trial, which pretty much lets you do anything...It's quite fun, even if it does rape my FPS. Yes, because I REALLY need 470FPS?...Then again, accidently increasing the mass of a Sun until it turns into a black hole and kills everything is quite fun?

Check out Orbiter! its free and has alot of love from space freaks helping its continual development. I know a few NASA guys work on it, or used to work on it.

been awhile since I have played it, but its physics are really challenging
