Less "mellow" more "awe-inspiring fear", but it was the first thing that came to mind. A little bit of vocals towards the end but not english (or any language I can recognise).

Early pink floyd (the 24/7 LSD era) is exactly what you're looking for. The song echoes is very spacey. Careful with that Axe Eugene is one that doesn't have any vocals and is very spacey as well.
